Line Item Advisors

No upfront cost. We share in verified savings only.

If we don’t find savings, you don’t owe a fee.

Most businesses read a card-processing statement once, the month it arrives, and never again. Line Item Advisors arranges the second reading — two months of your itemized statements, gone through line by line, and a straight answer about what is worth pursuing.

This works when two things are true.

You can get two months of itemized statements from your processor or merchant acquirer.

Someone in the business can discuss the processor relationship.

On an all-in-one point-of-sale platform? Still worth checking — that is exactly what the fit check is for.

Hands resting on a stack of printed pages on a wooden desk, one finger paused partway down a single line.
The second reading. No merchant statements appear anywhere on this website, and none are collected here.

Three steps, and you can stop after any of them.

See if you’re a fit

Eight multiple-choice questions, about a minute. No documents, no contact details, nothing to fill in — and it will tell you plainly when a review is not worth having.

Get your statements together

Two months of itemized monthly statements from your processor or merchant acquirer. An NDA is available before anything sensitive is discussed.

The handoff

The audit itself is performed by Merchant Advocate, a specialist firm — we prepare you and manage the handoff. What happens after that is decided with you.

Seen from above, one person slides a plain closed folder of documents across a pale table toward another.

No fee is due unless savings are achieved under our agreement.

That is the whole commercial arrangement, written here exactly as it stands. It is a condition, not a forecast — it says what happens if savings are found, and claims nothing about what is in your statements. “Nothing worth pursuing” is a real possible answer, and you would be told so plainly.

An NDA is available before anything sensitive is discussed. Nothing is signed on a first conversation.

See if you’re a fit.

Two conditions decide whether a review is worth anyone’s time, and one threshold decides whether it is worth ours. The check below asks about all three and gives you the answer at the end. It requests no documents and no contact details.

What does it cost?

Nothing upfront. Line Item Advisors is paid out of savings that are verified — no fee is due unless savings are achieved under our agreement. The agreement is explained in full before anyone signs anything.

What do you need from us?

Two months of itemized processing statements, and someone who can discuss the processor relationship. Nothing is collected on this website, and a first conversation needs no documents at all.

Who actually performs the audit?

Merchant Advocate, a firm that specialises in card-processing fee recovery. Line Item Advisors prepares you for it and manages the handoff. You will know who is receiving what, and when, before anything moves.

Is our business big enough?

We take on reviews for businesses running about $500,000 a year or more through cards. That is our own working threshold, not a judgement about anyone’s statements — below it the review takes more effort on both sides than it tends to return.

Would we have to change processors?

That is not what this is about, and no claim is made in either direction. The review reads what your statements say. Anything that follows is your decision, made later, with the facts in front of you.

Is an NDA available?

Yes. An NDA is available before anything sensitive is discussed — ask for it on the call, or before it.

What if we are just looking?

That is a perfectly good answer, and the fit check has a route for it. If a review is not right for your business today you will be told so plainly rather than kept on a list.
